Process Diagram

A process diagram is made up of activities, events, and gateways that are placed in a flow sequence by a sequence flow. Flow objects are a collection of activities, events, and gateways.

Process diagrams depict the sequence of steps in a process. Process modeling is a method of formalizing and describing how processes should be carried out.

A Process Flow is a flowchart that depicts the interactions between main components in a manufacturing facility. Though its ideas are occasionally extended to other processes, it is most commonly employed in chemical engineering and process engineering. It can be used to document, enhance, or model a new process. It's also known as a Process Flow Chart, Flowsheet, Block Flow Diagram, Schematic Flow Diagram, Macro Flowchart, Top-down Flowchart, Piping and Instrument Diagram, System Flow Diagram, or System Diagram, depending on its purpose and content.
