Production Workflow Systems

Production Workflow Systems moves information from one workflow to another following predefined conditions and logics. With process automation documents, information, are transmitted from one process to another, according to a set of procedural rules which known as transaction or production workflow systems.

Workflow Transactions are units of execution in a Workflow Management System (WFMS) that combine a process-centric approach to modeling, executing, and monitoring a complex process in an enterprise with data-centric Transaction Management to ensure the correctness and reliability of workflow applications in the face of concurrency and failures. Workflow Transactions support application-specific Extended Transaction Models (ETMs), which loosen the fundamental ACID features of traditional database transaction models.
